Burnley pay out almost £4.5m in agents’ fees

Burnley paid almost £4.5m in intermediary and agents’ fees during the year from February 1st, 2020 to February 1st, 2021.

According to the FA’s clearing account, the club paid out £4,458,520, with only West Brom paying less in that time in terms of Premier League clubs (£4,222,059).

While there were not many permanent deals in that time - the summer window saw only Dale Stephens and Will Norris arrive - there were a number of new contracts factored in, with Matt Lowton, Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Kevin Long, Dwight McNeil, Jack Cork, Phil Bardsley, Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Phil Bardsley and Ashley Westwood’s new deals all included.

Chelsea paid out a staggering £35,247,822, with Manchester City stumping up £30,174,615 and neighbours United £29,801,555.
