Two fire engines from Burnley were called to a blaze at a derelict house in the town last night.

Crews were called out at 11-45pm to the blaze at the property in Branch Road. Firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, used two hose reels and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fires.

They also dealt with a separate fire in the alley outside the house.
