It was a case of "hair one minute and gone the next" for teenager Jess Brazier.

For the brave Year 10 Ribblesdale High School pupil used her time in self-isolation by doing something memorable - braving the shave to fundraise for the NHS.

The 15-year-old said: "It was quite an impulse. One night I thought about it and my parents agreed, the following day we were doing it so I didn’t have much time to think. I believe that was a good thing though as I probably would have chickened out otherwise. I remember being very scared and shaking quite a bit, but I was more excited than scared. I’m just happy to have done my part in helping the amazing people putting their lives on the line to fight COVID-19, its inspiring."
