Firefighters were called to an incident involving an open fire in the living room of a property in Skipton Old Road yesterday evening (Monday).

There was one casualty suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation, but they did not attend hospital.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "The fire was in the living room of the property and involved an open fire, however, it was out on arrival. Crews used a ventilation unit to clear smoke from the property and a first aid kit.

"Crews were in attendance approximately 45 minutes."
