An uninsured driver, who didn't have a valid licence either, was caught by police... thanks to his passenger!

The vehicle, a BMW, caught the attention of officers in Nelson after the passenger decided to shine a laser pen at them.

The occupants were spoken to and the driver was found to not have a valid UK or EU driving licence or insurance.

With the assistance of Tac-Ops officers the vehicle was seized and the driver reported for numerous offences.
