Mountain rescue team aims to have 1,000 witches on top of Pendle Hill
They’ll go anywhere from the wilds of the East Pennine moors to the paths and tracks of our country parks, from Bacup to Bury, Rishton to Rochdale, Clitheroe to Colne. Because the team is so busy they have outgrown their base in Haslingden and now need to raise more than £500,000 for a new one to enable them to continue their lifesaving work in the community.
You could help them achieve their goal by joining a sponsored walk on Saturday June 11th on Pendle Hill. The team is hoping to get 1,000 people dressed as witches on top of the hill and local band “Steeros” will be providing live entertainment with covers from the Police, Manic Street Preachers, U2 and Oasis plus a DJ – before the team guides everyone back down the hill.
