People aged in their 30s account for most infections in Pendle this week

Residents in the 30-39 age bracket accounted for the most new cases, athough infections were down by 196 from the previous week, figures revealed.
In total, since the start of the pandemic, Pendle has recorded 9,034 cases, with a rate of 249.7 per 100,000 - one of the highest rates in the country.
Sadly, 225 people in Pendle have died from Covid-19.

Hide AdPendle Council's leader, Coun. Mohammed Iqbal, spoke this week about the terrible impact the virus had made on the area and urged everyone to do their bit to stop the spread.
A spokesman for Pendle Council said: "This week's statistics for Pendle show that lockdown is working. Pendle Council is urging people to keep following the lockdown restrictions, stay safe rules and advice to help us continue to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
