The fourth concert of the 61st series staged by Clitheroe Concerts Society takes place on February 6th when pianist Christopher Guild will a range of keyboard music from Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, through Janacek and Schubert, ending the concert with Mussorgsky’s popular “Pictures at an Exhibition”.
Christopher studied at the Royal College of Music, gaining a First Class Honours in his BMus degree and a MMus with Distinction, as well a coveted Artist Diploma and several prizes and awards.
His tutor at the Royal College said: “Chris is a naturally creative and innovatory musician... his technical prowess is considerable but is always at the service of his musical insight. Such pianists are rare.”

Tickets, priced at £12.50, can be purchased in advance from Clitheroe Music in Moor Lane or the Tourist Information Office at the Platform Gallery in Station Road, or online at www.clitheroeconcerts.org where more details of the concert and the rest of the season may be found.
