“Joy to the World” is the tile of a Christmas concert being presented by the Clitheroe Christians in Partnership on Saturday December 17th at the town’s Trinity Methodist Church.
This is a new Christmas venture for Clitheroe churches and will be a celebration of Christmas in music, drama and dance which aims to have a wide appeal.
The music is being led by 75 members of Ribble Valley Choir and Orchestra with music ranging from the first chorus from Vivaldi’s “Gloria” to “pop” including “You Raise Me Up”. There will also be Christmas favourites such as “O Holy Night” and “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and with items for the audience to sing.
As well as musical items there will be dance, humorous sketches and Christmas readings. The concert, which begins at 7-30 p.m. at the church in Parson Lane, is free, no tickets are required and interval refreshments will be provided. Just go along for an enjoyable seasonal evening!
