From paella to pizza, potted shrimps to pastrami, hand-made chocolate treats to delicious cakes – there were delicacies to suit all tastes, all lovingly created or sought out by producers from across the North West.

Mr Michael Ranson, Chairman of the Food Festival, once again hailed the event, which is in its sixth year, a huge success. The former Ribble Valley Mayor and councillor, added: “I am once again delighted and proud of another hugely successful Food Festival. The early morning weather did not seem to put people off coming and the streets started to fill up before 10 am and the town was full until the stalls started to close down at about 4 pm.

“All the stallholders appeared to have sold out of most of their products and the bars, pop up restaurants and food stalls had an excellent day. All the volunteers members, staff of Ribble Valley Borough Council and all the other helpers worked hard to make the event a success.

“A big thank you to all our sponsors and the borough council as without their generosity the Festival could not have gone ahead. We will now start planning next year’s festival to ensure that it retains its place as one of the best Food Festival’s in the country.”
