A day spent with paramedics has inspired Langho teenager and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Ella Shaw to write a song.

Ella (18) shadowed the lifesavers in Manchester and witnessed several call outs, from minor injuries to a sudden death and a successful resuscitation attempt.

The life changing experience has inspired her to pen a song for the Safe Drive Stay Alive road safety campaign in Greater Manchester.

Ella said: “My day as a paramedic is something I will treasure for the rest of my life. I was so touched by how hard all they work to try and save lives and feel honoured to shadow them.”
