Businesswoman Kath Lord-Green is about to star on TV with some its best-known celebrities... but there’s a big secret she’s having to keep.
Kath (51), from Whalley, is on ITV’s “Celebrity Squares” next Wednesday – in a programme recorded back in June – and she was told she must not reveal whether or not she won the £20,000 star prize.
“You’ll just have to wait until next Wednesday and watch it to find out,” said Kath.
The game show favourite – based on noughts-and-crosses and with nine celebrities in the squares answering questions – has been revived by ITV with comedy actor Warwick Davis as question master and comedians Tim Vine and Joe Wilkinson as regular panellists.
Guest celebrities on the programme Kath is on are Jonathan Ross, X Factor’s Louis Walsh, TV favourite Christine Bleakley, comedian Adam Hills, actor Jimi Mistry, comedienne Ellie Taylor and Olympian heptathlete Louise Hazel.
“They were all marvellous. They chatted with us and every one of them gave me a hug when we’d finished the recording,” said Kath.
“Christine Bleakley was really friendly, and Jonathan Ross told me I looked much nicer than on my audition photograph.”
Kath, who runs her own company, Insight Training Coaching and Media, went to auditions in Manchester and London before being picked as one of just 14 contestants to appear in the seven shows.
When Louis Walsh was told Kath had once auditioned for X-Factor, he asked her to sing again in the studio.
“They won’t be showing that bit,” Kath said.
