“Bankers Town”, a newly released novel by Bolton-by-Bowland author Joel Hames, has been given rave reviews after its release on popular website Amazon.

The book, described as “part thriller, part comedy, party ruthless city exposé” by the author, tells of the life of Alex Konninger, who drifts into a “big-money job at a big-money bank”.

After things start so well, the plot sees the main character start to lose control, with his past rapidly catching up with him and him quickly getting into a situation of not knowing who to trust and then realising his life is in danger.

Reviews on the newly-released Kindle version of the book on the Amazon website have so far been very favourable, with one reader commenting: “This book is a real page turner – a hugely enjoyable, often funny, always intense thriller. Not only was it entirely understandable, but it was marvellously entertaining, too. The book has a tremendous pace and energy about it and a wonderful and endearing humanity. I wholeheartedly recommend it.”

“Banker’s Town” is available to buy on Amazon at a price of £2.99.
