YOUNG people with an interest in singing, acting and dancing can still enrol for the new term of The Grand’s performing arts stage school, Backstage PASS.

Participants have the opportunity to enjoy exclusive use of The Grand’s facilities every Saturday morning and Backstage Pass has some exciting projects planned for 2013.

Backstage PASS works alongside industry professionals to deliver high quality workshops and master classes and, this term, will be assisted by Ribcaged Theatre Productions to create a full musical production of the popular gangster stage show “Bugsy Malone”.

Co-ordinator Sarah Crackles explained: “Bugsy Malone will be professionally produced and directed from page to stage and is set to be our biggest performance yet!”

For those looking towards a career in the Arts, Backstage PASS is also offering students the opportunity to work towards recognised performance qualifications and valuable accreditation. Students can sign up for one-on-one tutoring with Emma Walker towards LAMDA and London College of Music Vocal Examinations, which will run within the usual Saturday morning programme.

Throughout the season, participants will also work with course tutors to compile an industry standard performer’s portfolio.
