Bradley Wiggins’ autographed Tour de France yellow jersey to be auctioned at Gisburn hotel

FUND-RAISERS are on target to make £10,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support – with a little help from Olympic cycling hero Bradley Wiggins.

The double gold medallist donated an autographed Tour de France yellow jersey to be auctioned at a black tie and diamond ball’ at the Stirk House Hotel, Gisburn, on Saturday, October 27th, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The ball, for which tickets cost £35, will include champagne on arrival, three-course dinner, an auction of promises, disco and a diamond raffle.

Top lots and prizes include a ski chalet for eight in Switzerland, hotel nights, fine wines, spa, hair and beauty treatments.

Organisers Linda Grimshaw, Jane Dickinson and Maggie Bentley have provisionally sold 250 tickets but still have 50 tickets available and would also like to ask for local individuals and businesses to donate auction and raffle prizes.
