Robert Parker, owner of Browsholme Hall, has commissioned Clitheroe portrait artist John Rotherham to paint a posthumous portrait of his decorated grandfather, The Hon. Captain Trevor Tempest Parker, who fought at the historic Battle of Jutland.

John said: “I felt a huge responsibility to get this right. As a posthumous portrait, it was a challenging brief. My only source materials were black and white photographs from the Parker family archives.”

On the unveiling of the painting Robert said: “I’m thrilled that this image of my grandfather, as a young Naval officer, has been brought to life, and that John’s work will join the list of distinguished painters who have captured the Parker family through the centuries”.
