Whalley were unable to close the gap to second place Settle as they were blown away for 34 at Marshfield on Saturday.
Mark Fallon won the toss and elected to bat, but, after then opening the batting, the skipper was the only Whalley man to reach double figures as the visitors were dismissed for a miserly total inside 17 overs.
Fallon was fifth man out for 11, with six batsmen out for ducks as Settle’s opening bowlers wreaked havoc.
Hassan Fazal finished with 5-12 from 8.5 overs, and captain Tom Davidson 5-19 off eight.
Settle then eased to a 10-wicket win and 12 points within eight overs of their reply.
Professional Imran Khalid finished 15 not out off 24 balls, and Asif Fazal 21 not out off the same number of deliveries, as Fergus Bailey and Joshua McLean toiled in vain to find a way back into proceedings.
Third place Whalley are now 15 points adrift of Settle, who, in turn, are 21 points behind leaders Clitheroe.
The Station Road side will look to bounce back on Saturday as they travel to Balshaw Park to take on Euxton.
