Salesbury will be looking to bounce back straight away in this year’s Twenty20 competition following a comprehensive defeat at the hands of Great Harwood.
Playing at the Cliffe, the hosts scored a hefty 178 runs in their 20 overs last weekend with Salesbury falling well short of the target as they were bowled out for just 98.
Tomorrow night the Ribchester Road side will take on Padiham in the second round of fixtures in Group Two knowing another defeat would end any chance they have of progressing to the knockout stages of the competition.
Saturday’s league game at home to Edenfield was called off due to the bad weather. They take on Ribblesdale Wanderers on home soil this Saturday.
Elsewhere in the Senior Division, Whalley host Euxton on Saturday at Station Road.
Richard Lamb’s men have obliterated expectation so far this term as they lie 20 points behind league leaders Clitheroe having played a game less. Meanwhile, Euxton climbed to second in the league’s bottom tier and are currently 21 points adrift of Earby.
