Salesbury fell short in a 27-over game against second place Great Harwood - but stay in pole position for promotion to Section A.

Great Harwood made 125-7, as opener Jack Edgar hit 53 not out.

Mohammed Shabaz took 5-61.

Salesbury closed on 98-6 in reply, with 29 from Jason Rawson, 16 from professional Susantha Pradeepand an unbeaten 17 from Scott Wharton.

The Red Caps remain second in Section B, three points clear of Cherry Tree ahead of Saturday’s trip to leaders Clitheroe.
