Rugby club putting players safety first
BURNLEY and Pendle Rugby League Club have been given continual support from Bobbin Barbers, as the Padiham Road shop has once again agreed to sponsor the club for its forthcoming summer season.
Club captain Matt Crowley said: “I’d like to thank Brad for providing this new medical bag – this is an essential bit of kit. Hopefully we won’t have to use it though experience would suggest otherwise with rugby league being such a high collision sport. No doubt we’ll be using it sometime this season.”
Burnley and Pendle RL are playing at a new venue this season, with the first game at The Prairie playing fields going ahead at 2-30 p.m. on Saturday. The new campaign will kick-off with a stern test against Manor Park RLFC of Oldham.
