Perfect scores across the board for Burnley RUFC
Burnley, who have beaten North Manchester, Ormskirk, Orrell, Pendle, Tarleton, Bury, Colne and Nelson as well as Garstang in that sequence, are now just six points from Trafford MV at the summit.
The club have lost just once on the road this season, losing 32-0 to Littleborough in October, and they were made to work to keep that impressive record intact.

Hide AdIn appalling conditions they went behind to a committed home side but a Sam Mounsey penalty gave them a foothold back into the game.
A quiet first half petered out with the score at 7-3 but the visitors responded well after the interval and sprung in to life.
Once Austin Ralph pounced on a loose ball at the back of the scrum, Adam Wallis wriggled over with Mounsey adding the extras to secure victory for the away side.
The side are back in action on February 13th where’ll they’ll look to avenge that loss to rivals Littleborough on home soil.

Hide AdElsewhere, the thirds recorded a great derby win over Rossendale as they scored all their points in the first half.
Try scorers were Ashton Allen, JP Walton, two from Billy Ingham with skipper Mike Smith weighing in with three conversions.
Dale hit back in the second half with a try of their own but with storm Getrude intervening neither side was able to impact on the scoreline further as the hosts won 26-5.
Meanwhile, theclub’s ladies registered their first ever win as they beat Vale of Lune 5-0 in a great team performance. Taylor Gregson was Burnley’s scorer.

Hide AdFor any women interested in giving rugby a go, a special pitch up & play session has been organised on Sunday, February 28th between 1 p.m. and 3p.m.
The third team are in action tomorrow where they’ll entertain Garstang at 2-15 p.m.
On Sunday the under 7s, under 8s, under 9s and under 15s are at Orrell while the under 10s up to the under 13s will be training.
