The fate of Ribblesdale Wanderers has almost been sealed after defeat to table-topping Clitheroe left the club 36 points adrift of safety.

While Charlie Jackson’s side endured a heavy seven wicket loss at Church Meadow, Oswaldtwistle Immanuel beat relegation rivals Barnoldswick and Baxenden to stretch the gulf at the bottom.

Wanderers have just four fixtures remaining, but it looks like a season in the bottom tier of the Ribblesdale Cricket League is in store.

They take on Whalley on home soil at the weekend.
