There was a total of six two’s reflecting the great condition of the greens for the time of the year.
In the Doubles Winter Competition, Gary Aldred (10) and partner Richard Greaves (18) are becoming the ever reliable pair continuing their winning streak with a score of 38 points.
Second place again went to Wayne Iverson (4) and partner John Welch (14).
Joint third with 36 points were Captain Nick Avino (14) and Martin Holden (11), and the early morning pair of Peter Main (14) and Phil Hammond (5).

Meanwhile, there was an excellent turn-out for this year’s Pre-Season Quiz Night, with a total of 14 teams competing for the coveted title of Quiz Champions.
Previous winners DACT took an early lead and, despite a couple of lower scoring rounds, came out on top at the end of the night with 75 points.
Seven points further back were their closest contenders, Captain’s Choice.
The wooden spoon went to Two Men and Birdies for the third year.
Frank Havard and Tony Wilson did a magnificent job as Quizmasters and Ann Almond kept a close eye on the scoreboard, tallying up the rounds.
Both captains would like to thank all those who supported the event, either through raffle donations or attending on the night.
