The hosts never really got going in their reply but a knock of 28 from captain Jordan Britcliffe at the tail end was enough to see them through.

Curtis Meehan took 3-34 in an attempt to slow down Whalley’s chase but an unbeaten knock of 64 from Stuart Crabtree in addition to Declan Bailey posting 29 was enough to salvage a draw.
