Whalley claimed a 16-run victory against winless Edenfield at Gincroft Lane, with Simon Gorton again among the wickets.
Edenfield, who, with Brooksbottom, are the only sides now without a league victory, also saw two of their four points deducted for a slow over rate.
Whalley professional Hiken Shah contributed 80 out of the visitors’ 172-8, but, with Paul Gallagher hitting 60, Edenfield remained in contention in reply.
However, Gorton claimed 7-60 and the home team fell 16 runs short.
Gorton now has taken 19 wickets in three games for Whalley.
Richard Lamb’s men are back in action on Saturday when they entertain Cherry Tree at Station Road, and on Sunday they face a derby clash at Ribblesdale.
