The 36-year-old, who was forced into submission by a guillotine choke by Luke Rockhold in November’s clash in Sydney, Australia, bounced back with a unanimous decision triumph over C.B. Dollaway last month in Montreal, Canada.

Brazilian Leites, with a record of 25-4-0, has record eight successive victories, his last five under the UFC banner, with his latest win earning him the ‘performance of the night’ accolade against Tim Boetsch in Las Vegas in January.

“I haven’t fought in the UK for five years and that’s far too long,” said Bisping.

“I represent England and the UK to the fullest, I’m still an Englishman at heart, and it’s been way too long for me.
