Samantha Murray had her place at the Rio Olympics rubber-stamped by Team GB yesterday.
Murray, the 2014 World Modern Pentathlon champion, and 2012 London Olympics silver medalist, qualified for Rio by virtue of her fifth place finish at last year’s World Championships in Berlin.
The British Olympic Association announced the Team GB modern pentathlon athletes for Rio yesterday morning at Hyde Park Barracks.
Four years ago, the West Bradford athlete won Team GB’s final medal of a memorable London games.
Last week, she finishing 16th at the Modern Pentathlon World Championships in Moscow, having earlier won silver with Jo Muir in the relay.
