The sun shone brightly on the youngsters who enjoyed an action-packed day on the netball courts at Clitheroe Rugby Club, organised by Ribble Valley Netball Club.

After lots of warm-up games and stretching, the netballers were put through lots of energetic ball work, and a mini movement circuit using ladders, hurdles, reaction balls, cones and skipping.

After lunch, there was a shooting competition, won by Ella Boys, who managed to score 16 goals in a minute!

Squads were sorted and led by the older girls. They then competed in fiercely-fought team games and a mini tournament.

All the participants got a certificate, and prizes were awarded to Oliver Hunter for being a good sport and trying something new, Susie Kennedy for her hard work around the circuit and Jade Myers for hard work throughout the day.

Ribble Valley Netball club is running two more camps on August 11th and 23rd, open to anybody, please ring Sara Thompson (01200 424281) for details.
