Paul Chalks up win at Whalley in stableford

It was the October Stableford at Whalley on Saturday.

And Paul Chalker came in as the overall winner with an awesome 41 points.

Second in Division Two went to Kevin Walker with 39 points with third place going to “Don’t tell ‘em” Terry Pyke with 35 points.

Division Two winner was Gordon Taylor with 39 points, second was Colin T. Elliott two points adrift, just pipping James Kennerley after cards with the same 37 points.

There were five twos on the day, going to Kennerley, Donald Blanch, Peter Seavers, Paul Clarkson and Chalker.

On Thursday the ladies of Whalley competed in a Yellow Ball competition.

The winners were Agnes Seery, Betty Rostron, Lady Captain Sally Blenkinship and Carol Ashley with 25points for the yellow ball, and 72 points over 18 holes, with two scores to count.

Clitheroe Golf Club are taking bookings for their Ladies’ Open Turkey Shoot, to be played on Wednesday, November 4th.

Entry is £10 per person for the singles stableford, which will be played over 13 holes.

Mytton Fold are offering an Atumn midweek special - £40 for two ball with 18 holes and buggy with GPS, with bacon sandwich and coffee on arrival.
