Fresh from his impressive start to the season, Whalley’s Adam Morgan earned his first podium finish in the second round of the British Touring Car Championship at Donington.

Qualifying fourth on the grid for Sunday’s first race, Morgan eventually finished ninth.

Lining up third on the grid meant he had every chance to make up for race one, and after an epic five-car battle for third , Morgan came out on top for his first podium of the season.

Starting from fifth on the grid for the final race of the day, Morgan finished 12th.

Morgan now stands in eighth place with 53 points in total. Double his score at this point last season. The action continues next week at Thruxton.
