When Mytton Fold Golf Club held their annual post-Christmas Three Club Competition, history repeated itself when Chris Quinn won for the second year in succession.
Despite not scoring on the second, Chris still managed to amass 38 points over the 16-hole winter course, using just a driver, an eight iron and a putter.
Second, again repeating last year’s result, was Frank Havard with 35 points, followed by Garry Davies and Jim Bridge on 34 points, after a card play-off to separate them.
In the ladies’ section another card play-off was needed to separate the top three players.
After cards it was a win for Judith Kay, with lady captain Doreen Hammond taking second and Jean Havard third.
Judith also took a third of the twos pot when she birdied the final hole, Barry Hargreaves and Tony Wilson having done likewise at the first.
With entry by way of a Secret Santa gift, everyone was a winner to round off another successful year of golf at Mytton Fold.
