A fortnight is a long time in motorcycle racing.

And since the last round of the British Super Bikes Championship, Whalley teenager Harry Hartley has moved on from Team Halsall Kawasaki to Tsingtao WK Kawasaki.

His former team stated they needed a rider of greater experience to help the team progress, replacing him with Jon Kirkham - whose place Hartley moved into at Tsingtao WK Kawasaki.

Ill fortune struck at Snetterton, and it seems to have stuck with Harry, as, getting used to his new machine in FP3 at Knockhill at the weekend, he had an off that left him injured.

After a visit to the track medical centre, Harry was deemed unfit to race, and was advised a visit to hospital was needed for a precautionary scan.

He is on the mend now, but this meant that he was unable to make his debut.

Hartley now has a fortnight to get fit as the next round takes place at Brands Hatch.
