WHEN Mytton Fold Golf Club’s Seniors played for their Tuesday Trophy the results couldn’t have been any closer!

A large field braved the challenging damp conditions over the winter course to play in this biannual event.

Descriptively known as the ‘Three Man Trophy’, there were, appropriately, three players who all carded 25 points over the eleven-holes played.

Following a festive lunch with Mytton Fold’s lady golfers, a card play-off proclaimed John Hammond as the popular winner.

Just pipped at the post was Roland Hailwood in second, with Frank Havard taking the final podium position.
