Denise Park and Victoria Wilkinson teamed up together at the World Mountain Running Championships in Betwys-y-Coed, Wales.

Denise, a chartered physiotherapist based on Peel Street, Clitheroe – the only physiotherapist to have received accreditation from the World Mountain Running Association – was on duty at both the World Mountain Running Championship, and the World Masters Mountain Running Championship.

Denise was kept very busy for the nine days, making sure that all the athletes were in tip top condition for their events.

Victoria, who works alongside Denise as a massage therapist, is currently the English fell running champion and received a last minute call to represent GB, having been on holiday. She returned to represent her country for the 19 time. Victoria won the World Mountain Running Championship in 1997 when she was on the junior women’s team in the Czech Republic, and was 15th this time in the 8.9km Senior Women’s race, putting Team GB into gold medal position.
