The annual Coffee Morning run by the ladies’ section of Whalley Golf Club had an excellent response and raised £1,466 for this year’s Lady Captain’s chosen charity, North West Air Ambulance .

Lady Captain Margaret Breakell welcomed members and visitors, encouraging them to enjoy and give generously in aid of a worthwhile cause.

Stalls included delicious home-made sweet and savoury items, hand-made cards by Agnes Flanagan, scarves , handbags , costume jewellery by Goldilocks, a bring-and-buy stall, tombola and raffle.

Thanks were given to all those who had provided goods and helped to make the morning so successful.

Coffee, tea and biscuits were served and many visitors stayed on for lunch provided by the in-house catering team .
