Stonyhurst College talisman Tom Baker believes his side posted their best performance yet in last week’s Rosslyn Park HSBC National Schools Sevens.
Baker and Stonyhurst College’s Under 18s rubbed shoulders with the country’s finest in West London for the 75th anniversary of the world’s largest schools’ sevens tournament.
And they made their mark, battling their way to the quarter-finals before losing 21-19 to Denstone College.
Stonyhurst topped their qualifying group with four wins out of four, and the 17-year-old said: “I’ve been here twice and we’ve never done this well. We won our own sevens tournament recently so we had a lot confidence. We’re a good side.”
