Clitheroe Cricket Club have donated sets of cricket equipment to all primary schools in Clitheroe, with funds raised through a sponsored walk in the off-season.
The cricket club continue to establish strong links with schools in the area as a result of their thriving Clitheroe Cobras junior cricket section, which has expanded to over 150 girls and boys playing cricket from the age of five upwards.
The community club welcomes new members, who will benefit from top-quality junior coaching from volunteers, ECB level 3 performance coaches, as well as both former and current first-class cricketers.
The club also has a number of junior sides playing cricket in local leagues from under 9 upwards.
The club’s renowned junior cricket training takes place every Thursday evening at their Chatburn Road Ground from 6-7 p.m. for primary school children, and 7-8 p.m. for 12 and 13-year-olds.
There is also a newly-refurbished bar area and BBQ ready to cater for children and adults alike.
