BLACKBURN Rovers player Adam Henley was the guest at Whalley Juniors Football Club presentation.

Club chairman Steve Kenny opened proceedings, thanking each manager of each team, including Under nines manager Dave Astley, who is stepping down to concentrate on the starter groups.

Tony Derbyshire is taking over as Whalley Juniors Under nines manager.

A raffle was held throughout the evening with lots of prizes donated from local companies.

Receiving trophies were McKenzie Strong, who was named the player of the season, Billy Strong won the goal of the season, Sam Jones was the manager’s player of the year, and Fergus Moss won the club’s special award.

Whalley now has football teams from the starter group up to Under 16s.
