‘We need cutting edge’ – boss
The Clarets are the only top flight side without a win, after Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at home to West Ham United.
His side were punished for failing to capitalise on their first half dominance, and Dyche said: “My job is to find the positives, but not be naive and accept the things we have to try and change.

“We have to change that, and it sounds really easy but it’s not, because you’re playing against some really good players and sides. But that is the challenge, we are what we are, we work with what we have available and work really hard.
“But we have to make sure when we are dominant, we take our chances, it’s not just the physical scoreline, it’s the whole mentality of games, that often changes because of a goal.”
Dyche added: “I was pleased with the mentality, keeping going right to the end, we hit the bar again and had a couple of close things, so the mentality is right, we just need to continue the challenge, to find that moment of truth in front of goal to score more regularly. You’ve got to make things drop for you, you’ve got to make your luck by playing hard, playing fairly and doing the right things.

We did it many times last year, it’s within us I think, it’s just getting it onto a football pitch and making sure we show the clarity to score goals. They did and we didn’t.
“It’s a tough one, there are good signs on many levels, but we’re not naive, you’ve got to win games - it’s the job we’re all in. We have to find a way of winning, whatever way that should be.”
Dyche is hoping to have Dean Marney available against Everton on Sunday after missing three games with a hamstring injury.
