SABDEN saw their K Supplies Ltd Burnley and District Sunday Football League First Division fixture fall victim to the weather.

But they hope to return to action at the Prairie against St Paul’s on Sunday as they look to climb away from relegation trouble.

The side’s recent dip in form has dragged them closer to the drop zone - sitting a point from the bottom two, with four league games remaining.

After the trip to Burnley, Sabden are scheduled to face fellow strugglers Chucky Pad Warriors on February 24th at Nutter Barn, before travelling to Towneley to take on league leaders George IV Old Boys on March 3rd.

The final league game is on March 24th against Barrowford Celtic at the Prairie, with the rearranged cup semi-final with Hare and Hounds, again at the Prairie, on March 31st.

Sabden’s recent home games have been kindly sponsored by Local Business.

Pendle Hill Properties were the sponsors of the side’s home game against Flying Dutchman, and The Wellsprings sponsored the game against George IV Old Boys.

A raffle raised £101, which will be used towards repairing and improving the facilities, with the lucky raffle winner, L. Pugh winning a meal for two at The Wellsprings.

The club intends to do some fund-raising for charity during the close-season and there are plans for a high-profile fixture.
