Rimington Reserves established a new Craven League record with this, their fourth-successive Norman Pratt Craven Cup Final victory at Settle United.

Facing the driving wind and rain in the first half, Rimington were under no illusions about the size of the task facing them.

But the Settle keeper was tested on several occasions as Rimington warmed to their task.

Two minutes from half-time Rimington thought they had opened the scoring when an in swinging corner was dropped by the keeper and Michael Cox headed home only for the referee to disallow the goal for a mystery infringement.

Rimington opened the second half strongly with the wind at their backs, and Settle survived several close calls before Rimington captain Mark Leach opened the scoring with a close range effort after another corner from man of the match Luke Conti.

Ian Czapowski then chose the cup final to score his first goal of the season with a tremendous looping shot from the edge of the box.

An own goal goal followed in the 62nd minute before Aiden Ratcliffe flashed a low drive into the bottom corner to wrap up the scoring.

The squad contained seven of the highly -successful Under 21 side coached by Adam Hutchinson and Gary Kay.
