Question marks over future of under-fire Bournemouth boss ahead of huge Burnley showdown

It leaves the Cherries second from bottom in the league table, one point and one point below the Clarets – who they face at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Iraola was quizzed about his future on the South Coast after losing 2-1 to a Wolves side who are ironically now led by former Cherries chief O’Neil.

Asked if he was concerned about his future, the Basque boss responded: “I'm not. “Nobody should be concerned about it all.

“I'm concerned about AFC Bournemouth winning games and I'm sure that supporters, they shouldn't care about me. They care about their team winning games. It's like this and it has to be like this.”

Asked if he had discussed his future with the club’s board, Iraola said: “I haven’t talked (to the board), but it’s not a matter of me or my situation.

“It’s a matter of how can we solve this, the best way?”

Probed if he was worried by Cherries’ form, Iraola continued: “Especially whenever you are in the relegation spots. We have to be worried. I’m the first one to be worried. Now it's a matter of finding ways to win.

“I think we prepared very well for this game. We were working with not all the players, but I think we had the plan more or less quite clear. But it's not enough with the things we are doing.”
