The Cottagers' opener early in the second half was rather fortuitous as Joachim Andersen and Ola Aina combined from a corner to flick the ball over the line.
However, the home side equalised just minutes later when Ashley Barnes collected Jay Rodriguez's excellent centre and fed the ball past Alphonse Areola.
The result ensured Sean Dyche's side preserved their eight-point advantage over their opponents in the Premier League.
1. Nick Pope 6.4
Spent most of the game as a spectator. Found good areas of the pitch with his kicking and got down well to keep out Maja's shot on the turn.
2. Matt Lowton 6.9
Shut down Fulham's left hand side by keeping Lookman quiet. Conceded very few crosses from his side of the pitch, alert to the away side's diagonals, making up good ground as a consequence, and got forward well in support.
3. Charlie Taylor 7
Negated the threat of Loftus-Cheek for the most part with the Fulham winger only finding any joy as McNeil tired and the visitors had men over. Always looked for the sensible pass and gave the Clarets an outlet on the overlap.
4. James Tarkowski 7.2
Did very little wrong, but seemed to lose Andersen from the corner that led to Fulham's opening goal. Strong in the air, repeatedly cut out crosses beyond the back line and did ever-so-well to whip in a teasing cross from a give-and-go in the first half.
