Burnley FC Women will play their first team home fixtures at Padiham FC’s Arbories Memorial Sports Ground during the coming season.
In another move forward for the newly-promoted women’s first team, the players will now battle it out in a semi-professional environment against teams including Newcastle United Women’s FC, Leeds United Ladies FC and Bolton Wanderers Ladies FC in the FA Women’s National League Division One North.
This announcement follows a series of significant changes that mark a new era for Burnley FC Women.
As well as promotion, the club underwent a rebrand over the summer with a new logo and a new name.
Shaun Astin, Chairman of Padiham FC said: “This is not only a good thing for the club but it shows the continued efforts of the club to bring the community together.
“Having Burnley FC Women on board can only bring good relations between Burnley FC and the local community. All at Padiham wish Burnley FC Women every success for the coming season.”
Neil Hart, Chair of Burnley FC Women said: “This new football home for Burnley FC Women signifies once again the progress that is being made at the club.
“We were keen to ensure the Women’s home fixtures were played locally and we’ve found a likeminded, fantastic partner in Padiham FC.
“We look forward to working with Shaun Astin and his team at Padiham FC over the course of the coming season.”
To watch Burnley FC Women at their home fixtures it will cost adult supporters £2 and it will be free of charge for children aged 16 and under.
