HURST Green FC have had their application to join the West Lancashire Football League rubber stamped.
As of this forthcoming season, the club will have one team playing in the the West Lancashire League and one still in the East Lancashire League.
Graeme Seedall is back at the club managing the West Lancashire League side and Craig Barnes is managing the East Lancashire League side.
The club has done a lot of work to get their Smithy Row ground and changing rooms up to standard, and Seedall said: “In the last year a lot has gone on at the club, and now a lot of good people are back involved that have Hurst Green in their blood, and we all want to put the club back on the map, as it has dipped a bit since winning the Lancashire Cup.”
The club are now playing at the highest level possible outside the North West Counties League, and are on the lookout for new players that can maintain such high standards from 16-years-old and up.
The main position the side need to fill is goalkeeper, and for more information, contact Seedall on 07890294720 or Barnes on 07813677237.
Green are also on the lookout for anyone wanting to come forward and help sponsor the club in any way, with more details available from chairman Neale Brown on 07745515978.
The club’s website is www.pitchero.com/clubs/hurstgreenfc
The club would like to thank main sponsor Hurst Green Plastics, without whose continued support and backing the club wouldn’t be in the position they are in to move forward.
Green also wish to thank CCIB who sponsor their polo shirts.
The bulk of the money that has been able to push the club into updating and improving their facilities come from a successful sportsman’s dinner over 12 months ago, while their main sponsor and secondary sponsor have also been a huge help in running two sides for a long period.
Anyone wanting to train with Green in pre-season are more than welcome, just contact Seedall on the above number.
