Hurst Green got their The Bay West Lancashire League First Division season off to a great start.

On Saturday, they won 1-0 at Wyre Villa with a Sam Hayes goal 11 minutes into the second half, after the hosts hit the post with a first half penalty.

And on Tuesday night they claimed a 4-0 victory at Fulwood Amateurs Reserves.

Tom Divver netted just before the half-hour, before Hayes added a second two minutes after the restart.

Tom Grice sealed the points 12 minutes from time, and Tom Reede rounded off the scoring five minutes before the end.

Hurst Green Reserves also beat Wyre Villa Reserves 5-0 on Saturday as new management team Jamie Enefer and assistant Warren Baker got Green off to a winning start.

Debutant Baker opened the scoring, before a penalty from Williams.

Walker then made it 3–0 before the interval, and he added a second in the second half afterGummerasall hammered in a fourth.

Green’s reserves also beat Hesketh Bank Reserves 4-0 on Monday night, with goals from Davis (2), Mort and Knight.
