Striker Tom Kilifin has agreed to join Clitheroe from Lancaster City.
The Blues fought off opposition from a number of clubs at a higher level for Kilifin’s signature, and boss Simon Haworth said: “Tom’s desire to be part of what I’m building here, and wanting to improve as a player matched with his ability, makes me delighted to have completed his signing.
“He’s exactly the kind of player who I want on board”.
Kilifin has had several spells at Lancaster and Kendal Town, and is Haworth’s second new signing following the arrival of keeper Chris Thompson from Kendal.
Haworth hopes to bring in another three or four players confirmed by next month.
The Blues have lost a number of key players since the end of one of their most successful seasons ever – Evo-Stik First Division North Young Player of the Season Scott Harries joined champions Warrington, while Sefton Gonzales has signed for Chorley, captain David Lynch has left to be reunited with Simon Garner at Altrincham, and keeper Ben Woodhead has also agreed terms with North West Counties Premier Division champions Colne.
