Blues boss Simon Garner refused to be drawn in to a verbal altercation with Padiham boss Steve Wilkes.
Ahead of the Evo-Stik First Division North clash on Boxing Day, Wilkes had claimed that eight of his players had swapped the Arbories for Shawbridge in the last 14 months for better money.
“Louis (Mayers) has joined Clitheroe, and that is money again, because, with all due respect, he’s not going there to win the league,” Wilkes had said.
“We lost Jay Hart to Clitheroe recently as well, for over three times what he was on - eight players have left us for Clitheroe in 14 months.”
However, Garner responded by stating the Blues have only signed Ben Proctor, Hart and Mayers from the Storks in that period.
“I’m not interested in getting in to a slanging match,” said Garner. “I’ve only got two players from Padiham in my squad so I’m not sure where they got eight from.
“I don’t want to talk about another club, I want to concentrate on us.”
