"We’re making a good fist of what we can achieve here, that’s my focus, it’s the teams focus, we want to get Burnley in the Premier League.

"There’s a lot of things said, a lot of angles, a lot of connections over nothing. My focus is here."

"Either I get booed off or someone comes along and you say 'I can't say no, I've got to go'.

"Only time will tell, but there's no thirst from me to be running out of here.

"I enjoy the challenge, and that changes over time, but I'm certainly enjoying what we're trying to achieve this season, because it would be a magic story.

Skipper Tom Heaton is another in the gossip columns, again linked with Everton, and Dyche added: "I’ve had it a lot since I’ve been here. It’s a positive in many ways because other clubs are being linked with your player.

"It’s flattering for all, it means you’re doing a good job, if you’re being recognised, whether its fact or fiction. You would expect our players to be linked with different situations because they’re good players."
