“The mentality, the belief in how you play, that security of the home feel, with your fans behind you – our fans have been terrific with us, they understand the challenge but they stay behind us no matter what.

“Our home form has been really good, backed by the people here, that one club mentality I think is really important, the way the people respond to the team.

“And for all we sometimes scratch our head and can do better with moments of quality on the ball, I think the fans see a team that give every inch of their lives every week to try and win a game.

“That’s a powerful thing and to be enjoyed in this modern era.”
